BECOME WHICH WITCH?
an experiment for 7 performer
Why have we been taught to fear witches and not those who burned them-or the power structures that legitimized repression and continue to this day? The witch recurs in feminist* interpretations as an archetype of powerful femininity* and repressed experiential knowledge, fueling activism and thwarting authority. How do old and new witch (forces) move us? What do we need to (re)enchant? What witch(es) do we find within ourselves?
7 women with different abilities meet in a ritual stage space to approach the archetypal witch forces within us and maybe find some healing in the wounded female spirituality.
